News feed not updating on facebook
Posts that you see first are influenced by your connections and activity on Facebook.
The number of comments, likes and reactions a post receives and what kind of story it is (example: photo, video, status update) can also make it more likely to appear higher up in your News Feed.
If you really don’t want to miss a friend’s or Page’s posts, get notified each time they post.
Choose Notifications by hovering the Friends button for friends and the Following button for Pages.
Select the best friends you want to see at the top of your news feed!
Websites are not immune to the occasional operational issue, and sometimes some behind-the-scenes issue could affect the proper behavior of the site.
When they post, you’ll get the same type of notification as when someone likes or comments on your posts – the red numbers at the top (desktop) or bottom (mobile) on the bell icon.
If you’re a Fan Page owner / admin with a dedicated fan base, you might ask your Fans to choose Notifications to ensure they’ll see your posts.
Under the Update Status box on your Profile page next to the Post button is a little drop-down list.
This menu shows who can see your updates, including Friends, Public and Only Me.
